Gold eye makeup is perfect for summer as it enhances any eye color and is the perfect compliment to sunkissed skin. Less is more, is most definitely the way to go with this look. I’m loving the look above where the focus is on the eyes with just a soft hint of pink blush to warm up the skin. To get the look sweep gold shadow over the lids, then add a thin line of black eyeliner and coat of mascara to define eyes. On your mark, get set, go!

THE LOOK: PASTELS
It’s not just Easter eggs going pastel. This weekend has me thinking about all of the soft pinks, blues, and purples that are part of the the pastel makeup trend for Spring 2012. Emily Weiss from Into The Gloss created a super wearable interpretation of the trend using the lavender eye shadow from the Yves Saint Laurent Candy Palette. Keeping the rest of the makeup minimal and fresh, the sheer wash of lavender across the lids gives a soft pop of color.
